Lisa has owned and operated west physio since 1990. Raised in Almonte, Ontario she graduated from McMaster University in Physiotherapy and obtained her MBA from the University of Colorado.
Along with numerous advanced courses in sports injuries and orthoapedics, Lisa is also trained in Acupuncture and manual therapy. Lisa resides in Carp with her husband and 4 children.

Daria recently became a full partner at west physio. She completed her physiotherapy education at the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario. She has been practicing physiotherapy since 1998, and has worked in orthopedic clinics in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cranbrook, B.C., and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She joined the team at west physio in November 2009.
Daria is a NAIOMT certified manual physiotherapist, Certified Stott Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor, and is certified in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Residing in Stittsville with her husband and two daughters, Daria enjoys running, skiing, and Pilates.

shawna emmott mscpt

Shawna is a graduate from Queen's University. She has a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education, a Bachelor of Life Science, and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. She started her career, working at west physio, in September of 2008.
Shawna grew up in Fitzroy Harbour and now resides in Woodlawn with husband and son. She has played competitive soccer and volleyball throughout her life, and enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, tennis and baseball.

vicky smolkin mscpt
Vicky achieved her Masters degree in Physiotherapy from Queen's University, where she had previously obtained a Bachelor degree in Physical and Health Education, and a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Health Studies. She began her career at west physio, in her hometown of Carp, in September 2009.
Growing up in Carp, Vicky was active in the sport community particpating in, and later coaching, both competitive soccer and figure skating. While continuing to play soccer year round, Vicky has added running and yoga to her ever-growing list of interests. She and her husband now reside in Constance Bay.
Vicky has received certification in McKenzie Technique Part A, as well as neuro-proprioceptive and therapeutic taping.

alexandra deek mscpt
Alex completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from Queens
University in 2008 and joined the west physio team in March 2011.
She brings with her extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation and
sports injury managment and rehabilitation. She has completed manual
therapy training and is trained in dry needling and acupuncture.
Alex grew up in Nepean and has been paddling at the Rideau Canoe Club for over 14 years. She also enjoys dragonboat racing, yoga, and travelling- having recently returned from Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Alex currently resides with her husband in Westboro.

Ashley completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen's University in 2011 and joined the west physio team in September of the same year. She brings with her experience in all areas of physiotherapy through her clinical placements, including women's health.
Ashley is involved in many sports, including paddling with Alex at the Rideau Canoe Club. She currently resides in Ottawa.

Sheila is originally from Almonte and has been with west physio for over 20 years. She enjoys running and snowshoeing and travels the country with both of her sons' hockey teams.

Joan has been with west physio for over 10 years. She and her husband reside in Clayton, and are active in their community. Joan enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her new grandson Carver.

Isabel has worked at west physio since 2001 after retiring from a banking career. She grew up in Kinburn and now lives with her husband in rural Carp.
Isabel is active in the community, and among many other accomplishments is a past president of the 1993 Carp Fair.
In her spare time she enjoys golf, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, reading, gardening and travel. Isabel also loves spending time with her 5 grandchildren.

Julia has been with west physio for the past 3 years. She grew up in Carp and continues to reside there as she attends Carleton University.

Katie joined west physio as an intern in April 2011. She brings great experience from her past employment as an exercise therapist at the Live Well Centre in Kingston.
Katie grew up on a dairy farm in Kinburn where she currently resides. She graduated with honours from Fitness and Health Promotion at St. Lawrence College, and is now continuing her education at the University of Ottawa in the Kinesiology program.
As well as being a personal trainer, Katie enjoys snowmobiling, horseback riding and playing baseball.

Margo joined the west physio team in September 2011. She brings with her a wealth of experience in business and management.
Margo currently resides in Stittsville with her husband and 3 children.
lindsay gilmore, physiotherapy aide/reception
Lindsay started working at west physio in September 2011. She comes to us with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion and experience in fitness instruction and personal training.
Lindsay is an avid soccer player among other sports. She grew up in Stittsville where she currently resides.
danielle doucet strickland, certified stott pilates instructor
Danielle recently joined the team at west physio and brings to us her extensive experience in fitness instruction and personal training along with her Stott Pilates certfication. She is currently booking private and semi-private sessions for both matwork and reformer training.
