Massage Therapists

andrea borg, rmt

Andrea is a registered massage therapist and has been with west physio for the past 3 years.  She grew up in West Carleton and is excited to work in her hometown.  During her 3 years at Algonquin College she gained an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.  With hundreds of hours of hands-on training and practice she has developed skills that she now uses to make her an effective health care practitioner.  She has had opportunities to practice in a variety of settings from working with seniors in their homes to athletes at her college, to neonatal work at the Civic Hospital.

Massage Therapy is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints.  Massage Therapy treatment aims to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical functioning, relieve or prevent physical dysfunction and pain as well as enhance the well being of the client.  As a massage therapist, Andrea offers a wide variety of techniques to help relieve and prevent pain and help with stress management.  MassageTherapy may also help with:

  • sports injuries
  • chronic pain
  • tension type headaches
  • pain from everyday life
  • postural issues
  • and much more

When not massaging, Andreas stays active with baseball, swimming, running and spending time with friends and family.
